33 hours of traffic jam.. Rs.5.16 crore toll refund
It is known that a gas tanker overturned on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on the 3rd of this month caused a traffic jam for 33 hours. The Maharashtra Road Development Corporation has announced that it will refund Rs.5.16 crore toll to nearly one lakh motorists who were severely affected by this. It said that it would be credited to the FASTag accounts in a few days. The government took action after receiving severe criticism after the incident.
