Ban on mobile phones for those under 16 years of age in Karnataka?
In the wake of increasing smartphone addiction among students, the Karnataka government is taking steps towards a key decision. It is planning to ban the use of phones for those under 16 years of age. CM Siddaramaiah has asked the VCs of all government universities to express their opinions on this issue. He reminded that many countries, including Australia, have already banned mobile phones for students.
