Meta lays off 600 employees!
Meta is preparing to lay off 600 employees from its AI superintelligence lab, US media reported. This will affect Facebook's artificial intelligence research unit, product AI, and AI infrastructure units. Meta's chief AI officer Wang said that the layoffs will reduce unnecessary tasks and allow employees to work more diligently. However, it seems that this will not have an effect on new hires.
