Pre-Monsoon Showers Across the State
Amaravati: Weather conditions conducive to pre-monsoon showers have prevailed across the state. Additionally, a surface circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal, adjacent to southern Odisha. Weather instability has arisen due to the influence of a surface trough extending from Vidarbha across Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and North Andhra up to the east-central Bay of Bengal. Consequently, rains accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds—blowing at speeds of 40–50 kilometers per hour—occurred in several places across the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions.
