Silicon City as Pink City..
When summer comes, the city of Bangalore turns ‘pink’. The reason for this is the ‘Tabebia Rosia’ plants planted by Forest Officer S.G. Neginahal between 1982-1987. They bring a new art to the city with their pink flowers a month before Ugadi. However, nature lovers say that although they are beautiful to look at, planting indigenous trees in their place would provide a habitat for birds and be better for the environment.
