Sindhu Gets Off to a Flying Start
India witnessed mixed results on Tuesday at the Indonesia Open Badminton Tournament. While star shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen, and the duo of Gayatri and Jolly bowed out of the competition, PV Sindhu and the pair of Arjun and Hari advanced to the next round. In a singles match lasting 51 minutes, Sindhu defeated Busanan (Thailand) 25-23, 21-16 to enter the second round. In the doubles category, the duo of Arjun and Hariharan triumphed over the Malaysian pair of Nur Azriyn and Tan Wee Kiong with a score of 21-18, 21-10.
