ACB steps up its drive
Hyderabad: It is standard practice for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to lay traps to catch government employees accepting bribes. However, the ACB's operations—which began with such traps—have now expanded to uncovering the illicit wealth of top-ranking officials. Since the beginning of 2024, the ACB has registered 441 cases, striking fear into the hearts of corrupt officials. Currently, high-ranking officials who have amassed illegal assets worth crores of rupees are increasingly falling into the ACB's net.
