Director Teja's comments that the price of popcorn in theaters is higher than the ticket price have become a topic of discussion. While that may be true, is it right to increase the ticket price to Rs. 600 in the name of premieres? The common film fan who once watched movies in theaters for just 10 or 20 rupees is now apprehensive about going to the theater. With ticket prices drastically increased, and the exploitation in the name of popcorn and cool drinks, watching a movie now requires spending thousands of rupees.
