Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan and his wife sentenced to 17 years in jail
According to local media reports, a special FIA court in Pakistan has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to 17 years in jail in the Toshakhana-2 case. A fine of Rs. 16.4 million (in Pakistani currency) was also imposed. The court pronounced the sentence after investigating allegations that they acquired expensive jewelry at a discounted price while in power. Charges were filed against them last December.
