Is it permissible to enter the kitchen without bathing?
We consider the kitchen as the abode of Goddess Annapurna. That is why elders say that the housewife should enter the kitchen only after taking a bath. Our bodily purification affects the mind. Food cooked while being clean is equivalent to nectar. It gives health and energy to the family. Cooking without bathing spreads negative energy and can cause illness. It is believed that these rules bring the blessings of Lakshmi and peace.
