Medicines to be delivered to agency hospitals via drones
Andhra Pradesh: Medicines and other supplies will now be delivered to hospitals in the agency area via drones. The Department of Health and Family Welfare has signed an agreement with a company called 'Redwing' for this purpose. This company is already providing similar services in Arunachal Pradesh. Based in Paderu, the company will deliver medicines to hospitals within an 80 km radius using drones. Commissioner Veerapandian stated that the drones will also bring back blood, stool, and urine samples from patients on their return journeys.
