Netherlands' sick leave rule.. should be with us too!
While employees in India are facing various difficulties due to not getting leave even after catching a fever.. the Netherlands government is making a bumper offer. If someone falls seriously ill, they can take sick leave for up to two years at a time. During this time, companies must pay 70% of the salary to the employee. There is a discussion that this rule, which is being implemented by the government there, should be with us too.
