Russia vs. Ukraine: A Two-Day Ceasefire
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine—which has been ongoing for four years—is set to observe a two-day pause. Russian President Putin announced that a ceasefire would be observed from 4:00 PM on the 11th of this month until midnight on the 12th, coinciding with Orthodox Easter—a holy occasion for Christians. The Kremlin stated that this decision was taken in response to a proposal from Ukraine. Meanwhile, with the United States' attention currently diverted toward Iran, talks between Ukraine and Russia have stalled.
