Credit scores will be updated soon. The bureaus used to update the credit history of customers once every 15 days. Now it should be done once a week. Many banks have started cutting interest rates as the RBI has reduced the repo rate. The interest burden will come down for borrowers. Linking PAN and Aadhaar is mandatory. If it is not linked, then such people may not get most banking services from January 1. SIM verification has been made mandatory. The government has made it mandatory for messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal etc. to verify the SIMs of their users regularly. The government is planning to impose social media restrictions on children under the age of 16 in India, similar to countries like Australia, Malaysia etc. This rule may come into effect sometime in the new year. Various states have considered making it mandatory to use electric vehicles instead of petrol and diesel vehicles for deliveries. Some states may implement this next year. The term of the Seventh Pay Commission ends on December 31. The Eighth Pay Commission may come into effect from the new year. Some states like Uttar Pradesh are issuing unique ID cards to farmers. This ID is said to be mandatory to get PM Kisan Yojana money. The coverage of PM Kisan Crop Insurance Scheme has been increased. Compensation will be given even if the crop is damaged due to wild animal attacks. LPG gas, ATF fuel prices will be revised on January 1.
