Vertical-Takeoff E-Aircraft for Urgent Medical Supplies
Mumbai: Efforts are underway to utilize electric aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL)—which do not require a runway—for the transport of urgent and immediate medical supplies across the country. Air India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suzuki Motor Corporation and SkyDrive, a Japanese company specializing in the development and manufacturing of eVTOLs, to jointly study the feasibility of this initiative.
