The Bhogapuram Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport has been developed to meet world-class standards. Designed in the shape of a flying fish, the airport reflects the culture and traditions of Andhra Pradesh at every turn. The terminal building spans an area of 77,342 square meters and is equipped to handle 6 million passengers annually. The terminal is built to remain intact even against wind speeds of 275 kmph. A cargo terminal, covering 5,000 square meters, facilitates the transport of 25,000 tonnes of cargo per year.
