YCP Activist Eyes Government Land in Railway Kodur
A YCP activist purchased 1.48 acres of land in Survey No. 650/1 in Railway Kodur. To facilitate access roads and other amenities for this property, he incorporated an additional 57 cents of *Poramboke* (government-owned) land situated along the Gunjana River. Astonishingly, not stopping there, even riverbed land was registered using an incorrect survey number. The value of the encroached land is estimated to be around ₹2 crore. In fact, the then Irrigation Divisional Engineer (DE) had clarified as early as 2023 that this land belonged to the Gunjan River.
