Rs.5 lakh crore evaporated
Stock market benchmark indices lost for the fourth consecutive day. In Thursday's trading, the Sensex fell 1,187.41 points to a fresh one-year low of 71,292.88. The BSE Smallcap Select and Midcap Select indices fell up to 0.96 percent. The total market value of BSE-listed companies, which are considered the wealth of equity investors, fell by Rs 4.9 lakh crore to Rs 466.96 lakh crore ($ 4.86 trillion).
