70 Doctors Dismissed
Amaravati: The Health Department has once again cracked down on doctors absent from duty. While 51 doctors under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) were dismissed last May, this time, 70 doctors under the Directorate of Secondary Health (DSH) have been removed from service. Those who had been absent from duty for extended periods while engaging in private practice were identified and dismissed. Approximately 263 doctors across the DSH and DME wings are currently staying away from their duties.
