Body of Mountaineer Nirmal Recovered
Muzaffarabad: The body of mountaineer Nirmal Purja (43), who died while scaling Broad Peak in the Karakoram range of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, has been recovered. Officials located Purja's body, along with three others, at an altitude of 5,700 meters on the mountain. They were transported to the 'Japan Camp' located at the base of the mountain. Three days ago, a massive avalanche struck while Purja's team was ascending the 8,051-meter-high Broad Peak; ten people accompanying him had gone missing.
