Move to Supreme Court Today Regarding BC Quota!
Amaravati: The state government is set to file a petition in the Supreme Court on Saturday regarding the issue of BC reservations. It is well known that the High Court had struck down two Government Orders (GOs) issued by the state government, which provided 34% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local bodies. Immediately after the verdict, Chief Minister Chandrababu consulted Advocate General (AG) Dammalapati Srinivas and other senior legal experts. He directed that there should be no delay in filing the petition in the Supreme Court and insisted that it be filed on Saturday itself.
