Welfare hostel diet charges increased
Amaravati: The state government has increased the diet charges of students staying in hostels, residential schools, ashram schools, homes, KGBVs and model schools under the welfare and education departments in the state. The Social Welfare Department issued orders on Thursday revising these in line with the increased prices of essential commodities. The diet charge, which was Rs. 1150 per month for students of classes 3 to 6, has been increased to Rs. 1265 per month, and from Rs. 1400 to Rs. 1540 for students of classes 7 to 10.
